Hello,

Thank you for reaching out, and welcome to the FACEIO support center. To answer your question:

Please verify the following points step by step to determine whether the issue is coming from the FACEIO configuration or from your application.

1. Verify the Application ID

  • Log in to the FACEIO Console: https://console.faceio.net

  • Navigate to Applications.

  • Locate your application and confirm that the Public ID exactly matches: fioafe0f.

  • Ensure there are no typos or extra characters in your code.

2. Check Domain Whitelisting

  • In the same application settings, review the Authorized Domains section.

  • Make sure the exact domain where your app is running is listed.

    • Example: example.com, www.example.com, or localhost for local testing.

  • Subdomains must be added explicitly. Whitelisting example.com does not automatically allow app.example.com.

You can find the full domain configuration steps here: https://faceio.net/integration-guide

3. Confirm Application Status

  • Ensure the application status is set to Active in the FACEIO Console.

  • If the application is paused, archived, or limited by plan restrictions, enrollment will fail.

4. Browser Compatibility

  • FACEIO works best on the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, Safari or Edge.

5. Network / Firewall Checks

  • Verify that your network is not blocking outbound connections to FACEIO servers.

  • VPNs, corporate firewalls, or restrictive proxies can interfere with camera access or WebRTC initialization.

For reference, you may also want to review our security and networking guidelines: https://faceio.net/security-best-practice

If the issue persists after these checks, please send us:

  • The exact domain where the error occurs

  • Whether the issue happens during enrollment, authentication, or both

  • A screenshot of your application settings (with sensitive data hidden)

This will allow us to quickly determine whether the issue is configuration-related or coming from the app side.

Regards;
