Subject: PIN prompt shows a 4-digit minimum while "Strong PIN" enforces 5 (locale: pt)
Hi FaceIO team,
App Public ID: fioa8451
Locale: pt (Brazilian Portuguese)
We have the "Strong PIN" option enabled in the Console. With it on, the widget rejects any 4-digit PIN and effectively requires at least 5 digits. The problem is that the widget's prompt text still tells the user the minimum is 4, which is contradictory and confusing.
What the user sees:
(says 4)
- On a 4-digit attempt: "PIN fraco.
(says 4)
So both the enrollment and authentication prompts state a 4-digit minimum, but Strong PIN blocks 4 digits. Users read "at least 4", try a 4-digit PIN, and it fails.
Could you either:
1. Make the widget prompt text reflect the Strong PIN setting, so the enrollment and authentication screens consistently show a 5-digit minimum (at least for the "pt" locale)? or
2. Point us to any Console or client-side option to control this wording ourselves?
We want to keep Strong PIN enabled — the only issue is the prompt text not matching the enforced minimum.
Thanks!
Strong PIN prompt says 4-digit minimum but enforces 5 (pt locale)

Dear Daniel,
Yes, this is adequate. However, we strongly recommend that you do not disable the PIN code confirmation. It serves as your primary security feature right now.
Please note that our deepfake and face anti-spoofing features are currently reserved exclusively for the Business plan. These features will be generalized to the Pro plan in November. Until then, keeping the PIN code active is essential for your security.
